The edilon)(sedra Direct Fastening System Polymer Base plate (PB) is a direct rail fastening system based on an embedded polymer based rail seat for application in lines for Light Rail and Heavy Rail for in-situ cast concrete slabs.
The rail support system works as an absorber for mid and high frequency vibrations caused by wheel-rail interaction. This way, noise and vibration radiation are reduced which is particularly important in urban areas.
edilon)(sedra DFS-PB 54E1-MS TY is designed for the 54E1 rail (former UIC 54). The basis of this rail fastening system is a
polymer-based rail seat. The system contains a rail pad, which accommodates for all vertical rail deflection. As a result the
system is qualified as Medium Stiffness (MS), which signifies a vertical rail deflection between 1.0 mm and 2.5 mm under
nominal axle load.
