The edilon)(sedra Direct Fastening System FR is a direct rail fastening system for application in depots and maintenance facilities, both on an in-situ cast concrete slab and on pedestal track.
edilon)(sedra DFS-FR 115RE-SS is designed for the 115RE rail (former AREA115) although its geometry can be easily adapted to other types of rails. The basis of this rail fastening system is a steel plate. The rail is fixed onto this plate by two edilon)(sedra ESK clamps. The plate is fastened onto a concrete slab or concrete plinth by means of two cast-in threaded bars. The system can also be fixed with M20 bolts on top of steel beams to create a pedestal track for train maintenance.
The system contains a standard rail pad, which accommodates for all vertical rail deflection. As a result the system is qualified as Standard Stiffness (SS), which signifies a vertical rail deflection of less than 1.0 mm under nominal wheel load.
