The edilon)(sedra Direct Fastening System Steel Baseplate is a universally applicable direct rail fastening system for Light Rail and for Heavy Rail slab track applications.
The rail support system works as an absorber for mid and high frequency vibrations caused by wheel-rail interaction. This way, noise and vibration radiation are reduced which is particularly important in urban areas.
edilon)(sedra DFS-SB 60E1-MS TA is designed for the 60E1 rail (former UIC 60). The rail fastening system is based on a steel baseplate with lateral adjustability. The rail is fixed onto this baseplate by conventional rail clips. The baseplate is fastened onto a concrete slab or concrete plinth by means of anchor bolts in cast-in inserts. The system contains a highly resilient edilon)(sedra Trackelast® RP/RPU rail pad, which accommodates all vertical rail deflection. As a result the system is qualified as Medium Stiffness (MS), which signifies a vertical rail deflection of more than 1.0 mm, but not more than 2.0 mm under nominal Heavy Rail wheel load.
