The edilon)(sedra Direct Fastening System - Guard Rail has been designed to fasten the guard rail in addition to rail fastening systems for concrete slab track.
The fastening system for guard rail is suitable for Heavy Rail and Light Rail slab track applications where the rail is mounted on the surface, such as rail fastening systems comprising baseplates and direct fixations.
edilon)(sedra DFS-GR is designed to accommodate the U-shaped 33C1 (also called U69 of UIC33) guard rail. The guard rail is fixed by means of a square head bolt M22 to the support. This support consists of four S235JR steel plates. The base plate has a thickness of 20 mm. On this base two 15 mm thick brackets are welded, connected by a 15 mm thick front plate. The front plate has a knockout hole to facilitate the adjustment of the guard rail. The final system is assembled by means of high resistance welded joints carried out by an automated robotic process.
