CTICM

The Industrial and Technical Center for Metal Building (CTICM in French) was created in August 31st 1962 on demand of the Syndicate for Metal Building in France (SCMF)

Since then, the CTICM manages all relevant activities following 4 main axis converging towards a unique goal that is the progress of knowledge and performance in metal and mixed building :

• Developping knowledge by contributing to French and European research in behavior -to cold or to heat- of metal buildings, to improve their structural and environmental performances;

• Codifying knowledge by organizing standardization actions in the building sector;
• Passing on knowledge by teaching, publishing and providing software tools;
• Supporting the implementation of new knowledge by providing operational expertise to ever so efficient and audacious construction projects.
