The Nordic Barnhouse Project
Danish design at its best – The Nordic Barnhouse Project! Did you know that at Zurface we don’t just supply natural stone for construction and civil engineering projects? As a leading player in natural stone in the Nordic region, we offer comprehensive solutions and work closely with architects on private projects as well. A shining example is The Nordic Barnhouse, designed by award-winning architect Bruno Jakobsen, who also lives here himself. In the middle of the forest outside Tebbestrup, on a natural plot of 9,000 m², he has created a modern Nordic longhouse where light, nature and simple materials blend perfectly with the surroundings. The result? A home beyond the ordinary, where our Italian marble Grigio Bottarga plays the main role. The marble is found throughout the floors, bathrooms, kitchen and hallway, and its expression changes depending on the surface: from gray-brown marbled in a honed finish to softer, toned-down gray shades in a brushed or sandblasted surface. A clear proof that elegance does not have to compromise, whether in terms of style or versatility.
