Bernerhaus in Buchs, Switzerland

Triangle at the border triangle 

With the new Bernerhaus, Swiss architects Kaundbe have created an architectural homage to its geographical location. The ultra-modern mixed-use building comprises 13 rental apartments and commercial premises on the ground floor. 

The new building combines solid construction with an unusual appearance. This is partly due to the edgeless triangular shape of the building. On the other hand, it is the “scaly reptile skin” made of small PREFA wall shingles in the color P.10 light gray, which is a real eye-catcher as a uniform metal facade.
