What is Wood Veneer?

Wood veneer is a thin layer of real wood, typically 0.039″ thick, adhered to both sides of an engineered wood core. This process allows for the beauty and variety of natural wood on the surface while the core material maintains the stability and consistency needed for toilet partition components. Unlike high-pressure laminates, no two sheets of natural veneer look the same.

DESCRIPTION
Wood veneer (WV) toilet partition components are produced by gluing wood veneer sheets to an engineered wood core. These sheets are machined, cut to size, sanded and finished. Wood veneer components are finished using conversion varnish. Available wood species and staining combinations provide unmatched design and coordination opportunities.
CONSIDERATIONS
- WV is not suitable for use in wet, steam and/or high abuse locations.
- Excessive fluids should be avoided during cleaning.
- Horizontal grain applications require consultation
- Budgets should be reviewed prior to specifying wood veneer.
- All components will have natural variations in pattern, color and sheen.
- Replacement components will have greater variations.
CONSTRUCTION
- Wood Veneer: .039 thick solid wood veneer and duraback sheet.
- Core: 45lb engineered wood board.
- Sheet adhesive: poly-vinyl acetate.
- Edge: matching wood veneer banding is applied using PUR adhesive.
- Components are individually sanded, stained, and top coated with conversion varnish.
DIMENSIONS
- Headrail braced pilaster heights is 82 inch with 58 and 72 inch doors and 94.5 inch tall with 84 inch doors.
- Floor to ceiling pilaster heights are 1 inch less than floor to ceiling height to allow for hardware.
- Panel height will match selected door height. Panels are available from 3 to 60 inches wide.
