High Pressure Laminate Restroom Partitions

High Pressure Laminate Restroom Partitions

What is High Pressure Laminate?

High Pressure Laminate (HPL) is a durable and versatile material composed of multiple layers: The Wear layer is an overlay which protects the decorative layer that is the actual design of the laminate, whether that be custom printed, woodgrain, pattern, or solid color. Behind these two front layers is 6 to 8 sheets of resin. Two of these sheets are adhered to an engineered core and then heat and pressure is applied to create a single component to be used in toilet partitions.

High pressure laminate (HPL) toilet partition components are produced by gluing sheets of HPL to particle board core.
These sheets are machined, finished and cut to size. HPL components perform well in commercial restrooms and are
available in a extensive range of patterns, solids, and wood grains.

Application

High Pressure Laminate is an ideal choice for commercial restroom environments that require a balance of aesthetics and functionality. Its durability, moisture resistance, and wide range of design options make it suitable for various applications.

    CONSIDERATIONS

    • HPL is not suitable for use in wet or steam locations.
    • HPL is not suitable in extreme abuse locations.
    • Excessive fluids should be avoided during cleaning.
    • Horizontal grain applications require consultation.
    • Directional patterns have a maximum single, non-splice component
    • width of 60 inch. Non-directional patterns cannot exceed 60 inch in

    CONSTRUCTION

    • HPL: horizontal, post form grade laminate .038 thick.
    • Core: 45lb engineered wood board.
    • Sheet adhesive: poly-vinyl acetate
    • Edge: coordinated PVC banding is attached using PUR adhesive.

    DIMENSIONS

    • Headrail braced pilaster heights is 82 inch with 58 and 72 inch doors and 94.5 inch tall with 84 inch doors.
    • Floor to ceiling pilaster heights are 1 inch less than floor to ceiling height to allow for hardware.
    • Panel height will match selected door height. Panels are available from 3 to 60 inches wide.
