RHT roof hatches at distribution centre

Next to Schiphol, Pleijsier Bouw constructed the sustainable LU-IV distribution centre, designed by MIES Architectuur of Ede. Phase 1 has been awarded BREEAM Excellent certification, made possible in part by the buildings’ energy-efficient design: the roof is fitted with solar panels and the buildings are equipped with thermal storage systems to heat or cool the distribution centre. The two energy-efficient roof hatches from Gorter complete the picture.

Supplier of roof hatches, floor hatches, ceiling and wall hatches
Gorter Luiken supplies maintenance-free hatches for access through roofs, floors, walls and ceilings. Products such as roof and floor hatches are designed by the company’s own engineering department, with safety, quality, innovation and reliability as top priorities. The new generation of RHT roof hatches is characterised by an extremely strong and patented construction. Thanks to a number of modifications, the roof hatch is now even more resistant to unexpected extreme loads during the construction phase or whilst in use.

For flat roofs
These roof hatches can be used on flat roofs with a maximum pitch of 30°. Gorter’s RHT roof hatches are subject to continuous improvements. As a result, the hatches are increasingly resistant to extreme loads, both during construction and in the operational phase.
