Aeropan
On the hills of Reggio Emilia, in Quattro Castella, an early-20th-century private building underwent a meticulous renovation to improve its energy efficiency and structural safety, without compromising its historical identity. For the external insulation system, Aeropan was chosen. Thanks to its minimal thickness, it was possible to preserve the original decorative friezes on the facades, avoiding their removal. The project designer and owner, surveyor Armano Fratti from the Burani e Fratti studio, emphasized that Aeropan guaranteed excellent thermal and hygric performance in synergy with other interventions on the building’s envelope and systems, significantly improving living comfort. Breathable, dense and high performing both in summer and winter, Aeropan proved to be the ideal solution for the thermal insulation of historical buildings, combining respect for the original architecture, energy efficiency and lasting comfort.
