SoundBreak XP Gypsum Board

Description
Gold Bond® BRAND SoundBreak® XP® Gypsum Board is an acoustically enhanced gypsum board used in the construction of high rated STC wall assemblies where sound transmission between rooms or dwelling units is a concern. SoundBreak XP Gypsum Board consists of a layer of viscoelastic damping polymer sandwiched between two pieces of high density mold resistant gypsum board, providing constrained layer damping. It is available in 1/2" Regular and 5/8” Type X.
5/8" SoundBreak XP contains a fire-resistant Type X gypsum core that provides additional fire resistance when used in tested assemblies.
SoundBreak XP is designed to provide extra protection against mold and mildew compared to standard gypsum board products. SoundBreak XP products are easily identified by National Gypsum’s original PURPLE™ color.

5/8" SoundBreak XP Gypsum Board features a fire resistant Type X core and is UL Classified and approved for inclusion in specific UL fire-rated designs.
SoundBreak XP Gypsum Board is GREENGUARD Children & Schools Indoor Air Quality Certified®.
