Without insulation the temperature on the "protected side of an access door exceed 600 degrees F endangering people and causing spontaneous ignition of anything near the access door. Milcor Universal Fire Rated Doors are insulated with super-efficient insulation to limit temperature after 30 minutes is 250 degrees F. This UL temperature rise is the best in the business. Reduced Sound Transmission, the sandwich-type insulated door panel provides the dual benefit of reduction in sound transmission through the access door. Material: Prime-painted steel or stainless steel: 14-gauge frame with 20-gauge door panel. Insulation: 2" mineral fiber insulation sandwiched between inner and outdoor panel. Finish: Steel is chemically bonded with prime coat of baked-on electrostatic powder. Hinge: Continuous type; steel with stainless steel pin. Automatic Panell Closer: Integrated concealed spring system furnished on all doors to be installed in walls. Strong coil spring makes door self-closing and self-latching in ceiling applications. Standard Universal Fire-Rated Door with drywall bead has cylinder lock with 2 keys included. Cam lock not available. UFR-DW Doors are available with Mortise Cylinder option, except as noted in 8x8 sizes and in Stainless Steel. 14 1/2" x 14 1/2" opening.
