Domus

An illustration full of illuminated houses was what inspired Joan Gaspar to present Domus, the new collection of bollard lights for outdoor use.

It’s essentially an architectural design with linear forms, the upper part creating a unique asymmetrical shape. This bollard reveals its empty interior which, when switched off, communes with the natural light and is replete with nuances. When switched on, its own light enriches the space, resembling a cubicle and reminiscent of the house with its lights on inside that originally inspired the design.

Domus hides its light, refusing to reveal where it comes from, and projects a subtle angle of illumination. The beauty of this new bollard lies in how its form plays with and defines its light. It can be installed individually but takes on a sculptural feel in combinations of two or three units, the beam of light spreading in different directions and achieving greater breadth. This is when, on seeing the bollards, their compositional appearance can truly surprise.

This aluminium design is available in 26, 36, and 55 cm heights, in white, black, and rust brown finishes, and has accessories that enable two or three bollards to be joined together.
