Commercial Standard Countertop Bracket

Our Commercial Line of Hidden Countertop Support Brackets are designed to be a lower cost alternative for Professional Granite Installers and Tradesmen. Hidden Countertop Brackets are precision laser cut and built of 3.5” x .25” hot rolled American Steel. They are designed to support countertop overhangs up to 14” deep.

• 4 - ¼ inch holes with 82 degree bevels for flush mounting screws.
• #12 wood screws recommended (not provided with product).

Installation of these countertop supports requires a ¼” x 3.5” channel be milled into the knee wall so the brackets sit flush with top of the stud. If the brackets are to be installed in a cabinet then appropriate gussets and blocking will be required. After the channel is milled the brackets should be mounted with #12 wood screws. As an alternative installation method the brackets may be screwed directly to the kneewall and ¼” blocking added between the brackets to create a level surface. Once installed check to be sure the brackets are level with knee wall and each other. Shim if necessary. When placing the countertop on the brackets run a small bead of Liquid Nail for Granite or a quality silicone adhesive to tie the brackets, granite and knee wall together. Spacing should be 16” - 18" starting 4 inches in from the outside edge of the knee wall.

Selecting the right size countertop support bracket.
Like all of our products we recommend a 2-4 inch set back from the edge of the overhang to keep the product hidden and tucked away. Use the sizing chart below to determine the correct bracket for your application.

• 6-8” overhang = 8 inch bracket
• 9-11” overhang = 10 inch bracket
• 12-13” overhang = 12 inch bracket
• 14” overhang = 14 inch bracket

Spacing
We recommend an 16” - 18" spacing between brackets.

Unless you are a professional manufacturer or installer and understand the installation ramifications between the different types and thicknesses of granite, quartz, marble or other solid surface materials we recommend that you follow our sizing guidelines. If you are not a professional or have an overhang of over 14” we recommend that you consider using our 1/2” hidden countertop brackets.
