Hexagon H22 pavilion

The Hexagon H22 wooden pavilion is designed by In Praise of Shadows, an architectural practice based in Stockholm. The pavilion creates an attractive open-air space for meetings, outdoor workplaces and social events. The pitched roof provides shade from direct sunlight and protection from rain. The pavilion is made from glue-laminate timber and parts of oak with a floor crafted from Swedish pine. The roof is covered in shingles made from tar-coated pine.

The hexagonal shape of the pavilion is created by a series of triangles that form the structure as well as the vertical frames on the sides. The triangular geometry adds stability and strength to the overall structure. A popular choice for parks and urban sites, the pavilion can be furnished with products from the outdoor furniture groups in Nola’s range.

The frame, floor and roof are crafted from Swedish pine, oak and glue-laminate timber coated with silver-grey varnish. The roof shingles are made from tar-coated pine. All screws and fittings are in stainless steel.
Pine
Nola's pine is of high quality and comes from sustainable forestry. Pine is an environmentally friendly, domestically produced material. Damaged or untreated pine is quite easily attacked by decomposition processes; therefore, it is particularly important to repair damaged surfaces.
Oak
Oak is a heavy, hard and medium tough wood. Moderately dimensionally stable in case of moisture changes. Oak wood blackens if it is exposed to moisture or wetness for a long time. However, it does not affect the other properties of the wood. Thanks to its hardness and toughness, the oak wood is suitable for furniture and other use in exposed environments.
Assembly and placement
The product can be attached to the ground with ground screws from Sluta Gräv Sweden (https://slutagrav.se) or attached to a concrete foundation cast on site. Please contact Nola with any questions concerning installation.
Maintenance
Clean the product with a soft brush while rinsing it with a low-pressure stream of water. The surface coating can be touched up and recoated if necessary.
