Duracron® Acrylic Coil & Extrusion Coatings
Duracron coatings are acrylic-based 1-coat systems. Duracron coil coatings combine good hardness with excellent resistance to chemical attack, dirt and staining and can be used on aluminum and steel substrates. Typical applications include truck trailer sheet, mobile home and RV stock, awnings, canopies and metal building products. Duracron extrusion coatings are spray-applied and oven-cured on automated paint lines and are used to coat aluminum extrusions and other pre-formed aluminum components. They were the first aluminum extrusion finishes offered by PPG and have more than 30 years of field-proven performance. They meet AAMA 2603 performance specifications and offer good film integrity, color control and impact and mar resistance. They are recommended for interior, residential, institutional and light commercial applications such as window and door frames, railings and trim. Duracron extrusion coatings can be custom formulated to match most Duranar and Acrynar FX colors. Duracron coatings are not recommended for use on monumental buildings or high-rise curtainwalls.
A 5-year, non-transferable warranty (which includes 3-years coverage for chalk and fade) is offered.
