The SO Operative System designed by the multi-faceted Italian designer and interior architect Claudio Bellini for Ersa, is litterarly an “open” system. SO is designed to meet the all the needs of the contemporary work environment. It is not only a perfect modular system of desks, benches, tables, work stations and fitting accessories; but also a whole new space and living environment where the workers feel comfortable and happy during long office hours. SO Operative System’s basic design principle is “light thinking”. As a result, all the components and details that are not needed have already been eliminated during the design process. This is how; a platform that is single, functional, clean and clear at the same time is achieved. Simple thinking and a simple structure is Bellini’s guideline. Reduced elements gathered together with strenght and flexibility create the dynamic effect of lightness and durability in perfect harmony.
