Square Non-Tapered Recessed Panel Column

Royal Corinthian manufactures square non-tapered recessed panel columns from 4 composite materials: RoyalCast™ Composite Fiberglass, RoyalStone™ Synthetic Stone, RoyaLite™ FRP Lightweight Fiberglass, and RoyalWrap™ PVC. We only offer composite materials because we want these columns to last for generations. We also offer RoyalCrete™ GFRC columns for those wanting a cast stone product with a segmented look. Our recessed panel square columns are available from widths of 8” to 16” and, as always, custom sizes are our forte due to our own mold making department. Even though we offer all of our square non-tapered columns in every material, some of the specifications in the charts below only apply to certain materials. RoyalCast and RoyalStone columns are spun-cast resulting in a load bearing column with a circular opening (see cut views for comparison below). RoyaLite FRP column covers on the other hand are made in two halves with lap joints using a spray up method, which results in a thin column with a square hole (RoyaLite is pound for pound stronger than steel). Typically, our FRP column covers are shipped as halves but we are able to assemble them on your behalf if you are looking for a whole, lightweight, robust column that doesn’t need to bear much weight. GFRC columns are made in segments and stack on top of one another. All of our capitals and bases are made from the same material as the shaft.
