Precision Plumbing Products has designed a fire rated Ice Maker Box assembly that makes your installation simple and cost effective. Solenoid operated equipment can create destructive water hammer due to quick closing valves on the fill cycle. Water hammer can damage or even break your hose connections as well as destroy the solenoid valve. To avoid this common household problem hook your ice maker hose connectors to the quarter turn ball valve in our ice maker box assembly with water hammer arrestors and rest easy. Boxes are 1 and 2 hour fire rated and include a 1/4” thick intumescent pad for fire protection.
