Description
Gold Bond® BRAND XP® Gypsum Board and Gold Bond® BRAND XP® Fire-Shield® Gypsum Board offer the same advantages of a traditional moisture resistant board with added mold resistance in the core and paper. XP products are easily identified by National Gypsum’s original PURPLE™ color.
Gold Bond XP Fire-Shield Gypsum Board features a Type X core to provide additional fire resistance when used in tested assemblies. Gold Bond XP Fire-Shield C Gypsum Board has a specially formulated Type X core to achieve superior performance in specific fire-rated assemblies.

XP Fire-Shield Gypsum Board features a fire resistant Type X core and it is UL Classified and approved for inclusion in specific UL fire-rated designs.
XP Gypsum Board is moisture resistant and can be used as a tile backerboard in dry areas or areas with limited water exposure such as toilet/sink areas and areas above tile in tubs and showers.
