Series 5000SS-FS Reduced Pressure Detector Assembly Backflow Preventer blocks the reverse flow of fire protection system substances being pumped or siphoned into the potable water supply. Series 5000SS-FS incorporates a meter to detect ground leaks and unauthorized illegal taps, greatly reducing annual water expenses, and consists of a stainless steel body, stainless steel internal parts, thermoplastic check valves, and a bottom-mounted relief valve. Series 5000SS-FS is half the weight of competitive designs. Its short lay length makes installation and maintenance simple and easy. This series is ideal for installation on fire protection systems. Check with local water authorities for installation requirements. Maximum Working Pressure: 175 psi (12.06 bar).

This series features an integrated flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® Technology to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve. Activated through an add-on connection kit, the sensor can trigger the alert system sending notification of flood detection to facility personnel. Connection kits are available for BMS and cellular communication.
