Cantilever Shelving

 Spacesaver Corporation Cantilever Shelving is engineered for strength and durability, and is designed to be easy to assemble, rearrange, and reconfigure.  Designed to adapt to both stationary and mobile storage applications, cantilever shelving is ideal for library, higher educations, and bookstore applications.  It is configurable to hold media items as well.   Listed below are all our options for this product:

 Shelves

All shelving features a quality, powder coat paint finish that resists abrasion. Spacesaver makes available a variety of color and paint finishes to match any need. Shelves are easily adjusted. Standard shelves shall be 9/16” (14 mm) in height and be formed of 22 ga. (.75 mm) cold rolled steel with flanges on all four sides. Front and rear flanges shall also be turned “down” and “in”. Shelves to be adjustable on 1-1/2” (38 mm) centers vertically. Shelves to be supported front and back by two shelf supports of 14 ga. (1.9 mm) min. hot rolled steel. Full depth (or through) shelves shall have mounting holes for attachment of an optional center stop. Patented multi-function slots (for optional file dividers, bin dividers and divider rods) shall be placed on 2” (50 mm) centers across entire shelf length (starting 1” (25 mm) from each end). Height of shelf (including supports) shall be 3/4” (19 mm).

 Upright Dimensions

 Uprights

Uprights are a welded steel assembly consisting of (2) 14 gauge posts, (1) 14 gauge top spreader, and (1) 16 gauge bottom spreader.  .  Uprights have attachment slots for shelves on 1" centers along their entire height.  Uprights have vertical spacing indicators every 6". 

 Base Supports

14-gauge base supports provide lateral stability to upright frames.

 Canopy Tops

Available for both single-faced, double-faced units, 18-gauge cold rolled material with triple 90 degree bends.  Canopy tops lock into uprights and fasten securely to the canopy using machine screws and nuts. 

 Anti-Tip Protection

Our Cantilever Shelving can be equipped with anti-tip devices to help comply with seismic requirements, providing an extra measure of system stability and safety, even in seismically active areas
