The RASAN brand siphonic inspection chambers for sanitation are manufactured in PE using the rotational molding technique.
The technical characteristics of the polyethylene used in the manufacture of these chambers are as follows:
- Density: 940 Kg/m³
- Elongation at break (90 mm/min): >400%
- Tensile strength (50 mm/min): 21 MPa
- Modulus of elasticity (2 mm/min): 910 MPa
- Hardness: 54 SHORE D
- Melt flow index (190ºC, 2.16Kg): 3.4 g/10min
- Coefficient of linear expansion: 0.155 mm/m ºC
- Softening temperature: 112ºC
- Thermal conductivity: 0.35 Kcal/mhºC
Additionally, polyethylene is highly resistant to all components of domestic and industrial wastewater and remains unaffected by most acids and aggressive salts (see chemical resistance table).
The RASAN PE siphonic chambers are manufactured in diameters of 400, 315, and 250 mm. The outlet, located at the bottom of the chamber in the shape of a pipe, enables the siphonic function.
These are completely watertight chambers that prevent any infiltration of water into the ground or vice versa, making them ideal for areas with high water tables and helping to prevent aquifer contamination.
