Folding Door Q-Door FX
Q-Door FX is a folding door built for reliability and thermal performance. Developed and refined since 1962, it combines proven durability with strong insulation and precise engineering. Many doors installed more than 30 years ago are still in daily operation in fire stations and industrial buildings where function, reliability and durability are critical. That is a testament to Torverk’s focus on function, safety, and long-term performance.
SECURITY & SURFACE TREATMENT
Q-Door FX is available in versions that are in compliance with SSF 1074, Security Class 2 (SK2) and Security Class 3 (SK3) for enhanced perimeter protection.
You can choose from several surface treatment packages that increase resistance against harsh environments, high humidity, and coastal conditions.
CONSTRUCTION & INSULATION
Each door leaf is formed from 0.6 mm corrosion-protected steel sheet from SSAB, roll-bent into shape for a rigid and durable construction.
The panel is filled with polyurethane foam under 4.5 bar pressure. The foam expands, penetrates all cavities, and bonds chemically to the steel sheets and end profiles.
Once hardened, the foam becomes as solid as a hockey puck and insulates four times better than typical house insulation.
All seals are made from durable EPDM rubber, which remains soft and tight even in cold climates.
Optional gas-insulated windows with thermal breaks are available in any size or number.
A wicket door can be added as an option.
A standard 5 x 5 m door without windows or wicket door has a U-value of 0.90 W/m²K and a T-value of 1 m³/h per m².
SIZE & OPERATION
Each Q-Door FX is custom-built to the exact millimetre of your opening.
A motorised Q-Door FX can be up to 14.5 m wide and 6 m high.
Available as inward- or outward-opening models, with two different drive systems that can be mounted either besideor above the door, depending on available space.
Our proprietary motor has been tested for 2,000,000 cycles.
The door can be fully or partially automated to improve logistics and minimise energy loss.
