FRCM reinforcement Kimisteel GLV 650 system

Kimisteel GLV 650 is used for the reinforcement for masonry structures, vault consolidation, structural reinforcement for beams and joists, pillar and column confinement, creating prefabricated concrete elements with light reinforcement, reating reinforced clay bricks. Kimisteel GLV 650 is a unidirectional reinforcement fabric made of high-resistance galvanized zinc plated filaments. The product can be used with inorganic matrices to achieve structural consolidation of masonry, reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete.
    Specification
    • Structural reinforcement or seismic retrofitting of masonry structures, equipped with CVT for FRCM systems. The process includes the following application phases: cleaning the substrate and, if necessary, reconstruction or smoothing the surface with a suitable mortar. Apply a first layer of Basic MALTA M15/F mortar from Kimia S.p.A. or a similar product. The maximum thickness per coat is 5 mm. The mortar must have the following characteristics: grain size distribution UNI EN 1015-1: 1.2 mm; compressive strength after 28 days UNI EN 1015-12: >15 N/mm²; 28-day flexural tensile strength >4 Mpa and will be CE marked as R2 mortar based on UNI EN 1504-3, as class M15 masonry mortar according to EN 998-2 and as GP CS IV internal and external mortar according to UNI EN 998-1. While the product is still fresh, apply Kimisteel GLV 650 galvanized zinc steel fabric from Kimia S.p.A. or a similar product, applying light pressure with the spatula and/or trowel to embed the fabric in the matrix. The galvanized steel mesh must guarantee the following characteristics: tensile modulus of elasticity: 182.9 GPa; steel weight: 650 g/m2; equivalent thickness: 0.083 mm; maximum load per unit width: 130.97 kN/m. Apply a further coat of the same matrix to the mesh using a metal spatula and/or trowel, for a total reinforcement system thickness of 10 mm. The reinforcement system thus created is in possession of CVT, pursuant to point 11.1, case C, of the NTC 2018, according to the qualification procedures for reinforcement systems in point 3 of the "Guideline for the identification, qualification and acceptance control of inorganic matrix fiber-reinforced composites (FRCM) to be used for the structural consolidation of existing buildings". The supply and installation of all the materials described above and anything else required for the finished work is included, excluding anchors, which are calculated separately. ------ Structural reinforcement or seismic retrofitting of concrete structures, equipped with CVT for FRCM systems. The process includes the following application phases: cleaning the substrate and, if necessary, reconstruction or smoothing the masonry surface with a suitable mortar. Apply a first layer of Betonfix MONOLITE N mortar from Kimia S.p.A. or a similar product. The maximum thickness per coat is 5 mm. The mortar must have the following characteristics: grain size range UNI EN 1015-1: 0.1-0.5 mm; compressive strength after 28 days UNI EN 1015-12: > 50 MPa; flexural strength after 28 days at 21°C > 8 MPa and will be CE marked as R4 mortar based on UNI EN 1504-3.
