Refined Island Architecture
Inspired by traditional Polynesian thatch, Kona’s pacific island thatch roofing reflects a disciplined approach to form, proportion, and restraint. Rather than loose or expressive trim, Kona features a controlled fiber presentation that creates a composed, well-defined roof surface. Its edges are intentionally broken and staggered, allowing a design similar to the way traditional island thatch is bundled and laid.
Kona is selected when a project calls for a tropical expression with architectural clarity. Its consistent texture and balanced profile make it well suited for resorts, cultural spaces, and contemporary island designs where the roof must feel intentional, refined, and integrated into the overall structure.
