ALUCOBOND® PLUS has been developed exclusively for the higher requirements of the fire regulations in architecture. Due to its fire resistant core (FR Core) ALUCOBOND® PLUS meets the higher requirements of fire classifications while offering the proven product properties of the ALUCOBOND® family, such as flatness, form-ability, resistance to wear and simple processing. The superb properties of this material boost one's inspiration and offer architecture a wide range of solutions while meeting fire performance requirements of today's building standards. ALUCOBOND® PLUS is available in most of our current finishes and most custom colors.

ALUCOBOND PLUS consists of two sheets of smooth .020" aluminum thermo-bonded to a solid, fire retardant core and has been developed exclusively to allow architects and designers to meet today's fire performance requirements set by the International Building Code (IBC) while using ACM as the material of choice. The Male and Female Rainscreen system are an easy to install Drained and Back Ventilated system (DBV). The pre-engineered system is efficient and cost effective. It provides the ability to adhere to AAMA 509-09 DBV rainscreen, NFPA 285 flame spread, ASTM E330 deflection and ASTM E72 serviceability testing.

Continuous Insulation is often added behind ALUCOBOND PLUS to meet the energy code requirements in North America. The lightweight nature of composite panels allows for flexibility in design choices for attaching the panel system through the insulation material.
