The use of thrust pipes for microtunnelling, manufactured through an automatic vibro-compression process with weighted feeding, is applied with the NO-DIG (no excavation) technique for the construction of pipelines for the transportation of sewage, wastewater, stormwater, irrigation water, drainage, and in technological systems of hydroelectric power plants, airport conduits, and as casing pipes.
The NO-DIG system allows for road, railway, airport, river, and mountain crossings, even in the presence of groundwater, without disturbing traffic or the environment. This type of pipe enables high operating pressures, significant installation depths, elastic adaptation in the soil, stability under groundwater subpressure, and a low roughness coefficient.
The vibro-compression system with weighted feeding, controlled by hydraulic and electronic devices, distributes the concrete in multiple layers along the entire inner wall of the pipe, ensuring uniform compaction of the mixture and total absence of deformations during the setting process.
The high technological level of this manufacturing process, combined with controlled-quality concrete production, provides both the manufacturer and the user with the utmost guarantee regarding product quality, with the possibility to:
-Improve and automatically control the compactness of the concrete, ensuring consistent pipe production.
-Use a concrete that prevents the formation of settlement cracks and voids, thus obtaining a perfectly watertight and durable product with a smooth internal and external finish.
-Achieve full compliance of the manufactured product with UNI EN 1916 standards, with widely acceptable dimensional tolerances.
-Employ different types of coatings and cement.
For longitudinal flexural strength, the product is dimensionally adequate.
